The Canadian government has suspended entry visas for people from countries currently battling the Ebola outbreak.
The visa ban was announced as part of efforts to keep the disease out of Canada, which hasn’t recorded a case yet
The government said on Friday, October 31 that it is suspending visa applications for residents and nationals of countries with "widespread and persistent-intense transmission" of the Ebola Virus Disease.
Canada’s Health Minister, Rona Ambrose said via a statement that the country’s "number one priority is to protect Canadians."
