How Ebola-Infected Doctor's Sister Escaped Quarantine

According to Sahara Reporters, the sister of Dr. Iyke Enemuo, who recently died of Ebola in Port Harcourt, fled the state to avoid quarantine.

Enemuo is believed to have contracted the disease after he came in contact with an ECOWAS diplomat who also made contact with index case, Patrick Sawyer.

The diplomat was treated in a hotel and is alive and well but Enemuo’s death has now led to the isolation of 200 people.

According to Sahara Reporters, the late doctor’s sister fled to Abia state to avoid being quarantined but was forced to return by a sibling, who is also a doctor.

Enemuo’s wife has also shown symptoms of the disease and she has been quarantined along with the couple's 3 month old child.
