American rap star Ja Rule has responded to Internet memes that flooded Twitter and Instagram last week of his performance withAshanti in Lagos On October 3.

Hundreds of memes popped up on social media mocking Ja Rule and Ashanti as the struggle version of Jay Z and Beyonce.

Ja Rule took to Twitter and tweeted "Y'all funny as shit the bootleg on the run lmfao one week they love u next week they hate u both weeks I got paid!" with a picture of him and his former label mate Ashanti.
